On Friday October 20th in the afternoon, the students of St James will walk, run or trot around the St James hill and adjacent soccer fields to raise funds for the school. At St James, we run two fundraisers each year with the money raised being spent in the same school year. We are looking to support the St. James’ “School Improvement Plan” this year through the purchase of updated Chrome books and additions to our flexible learning environment.

Today your child brought home their fundraising envelope for our Turkey Trot Fundraiser. We would ask that students approach family, friends and neighbours to raise money, and not go door-to-door. The envelopes are due back on Friday October 13th to their classroom teacher. We ask that all envelopes be returned, even if there was no fundraising.

We will be looking for parent volunteers to help with this event in the afternoon of October 20th. If you are able to come and volunteer, please email parentcouncil.stjames@gmail.com. Here is the schedule for the trot:

Grades 1 - 3: 1:10 – 2:00 pm
Kinders: 2:00 - 2:30 pm
                                                          Grades 4 – 6: 2:30 - 3:20 pm
